Fairy Tail Chapter 517 is out and centered on Wendy and Eileen and Natsu was entirely missing in action. Needless to say what happened in this chapter still kind of surprised me.

Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers to the recently released chapter so please proceed at your own risk.

On, Fairy Tail Chapter 516, Eileen’s desire to be reborn materialized when she took over Wendy Belserion’s body. Knowing Eileen to be very powerful and ambitious, readers of this manga would, of course, expect that she would hold on to the new body for quite some time and there would be some sort of long and hard struggle for Wendy from the inside.

However, much to my surprise, the struggle for Wendy to recover her body did not take that long. Chapter 517 proved that if Eileen can enchant herself into Wendy’s body, Wendy could do the same.

After a very brief moment of flashbacks that encouraged—or helped her muster up the strength—to protect Erza she managed to enchant herself into Eileen’s body and thus the great body swap.

It was kind of a surprise and a WTF moment because it was so easy to think that Wendy is lost somewhere or locked up deep in the mind of her physical body that Eileen had in possession. Somehow she must have jumped out of her own small body and jumped—quite literally—to Eileen’s body. Like what?! Oh well, this is Fairy Tail, after all.

Of course, amidst the supposedly great battle for Wendy’s body, the author was able to inject some jokes pertaining to Eileen’s “heavy breasts.” On a more serious tone, Chapter 517 showed that the power that the particular body is capable of does not go with the body’s persona or true identity. Thus, whoever possess the body seems to be restricted to that body’s power.

The real Wendy’s body was smaller and bruised from the earlier battle not to mention that Eileen apparently still needed some time to get used to it. The real Wendy saw that as an opportunity and enchanted herself into Eileen’s more curvaceous physique, which possesses more power. The real Wendy used that power to get her body back and the day is saved.

The comments section below the manga was then flooded with jokes pertaining to Eileen’s breast. Some were saying, “the bigger the breasts the greater the power.” Besides the story on how Wendy recovered herself, not much happened on Fairy Tail Chapter 517. Hopefully, Chapter 518 will shine the spotlight back on Natsu who is at that moment struggling to survive the fusion of the dragon seeds.

Watch out for predictions on what might happen on Fairy Tail Chapter 518.

Season 6 Episode 2 of NBC’s Grimm gave its fans another glimpse of how powerful both the “miracle stick” and little Diana are. While the two are not evil by nature or by choice but if the stick falls into the wrong hands and Diana falls under the wrong influence, both are potentially the biggest threats to Nick Burkhardt.

Spoiler Alert: This may contain spoilers to Grimm Season 6 Episode 2, if you have not watched the previous episode yet please proceed with caution.

Mystery Stick: Is it good or evil?

This is a good time to start wondering whether the miraculous but mysterious “stick is a good thing or an evil thing? At this point, I would like to think that it is either good or evil depending on who is in possession of it—thankfully, it is with Nick for now.

With the fact that Nick Burkhardt survived having been shot for several times, the stick seems to be a good accessory for any Grimm. But what if it can be used by just about anyone and not just Grimm’s. Any bad Wessen or half Wessen—say Portland’s new mayor, Sean Renard—can become invincible if he or she gets his hands on it.

Moving on, the other question I have in mind is, “Should Nick, or a Grimm, be really the rightful carrier of the stick? It should be noted that in the last episode, it seems as if the stick was calling Nick to it, almost putting him in a powerful trance and it was sort of creepy—like the “my precious” ring from “Lord of the rings” kind of creepy. By the look on Burckhardt’s face, i could not help but remember Gollum from LOTR.

With Season 6 being Grimm’s final season, I hope the writers have written something really good about this mysterious ancient thing. And please I hope it does not turn out to be something like Harry Potter’s magic wand—don’t take this negatively, I love Harry Potter.

Will Diana turn out to be a child of darkness or light?

In Grimm Season 6 Episode 2, Diana was again able to demonstrate another one of her tricks. What she did at the spice shop--making the jars of spices levitate—while she was with Monroe also gave me the creeps. Obviously, Monroe was scared of her but such power was something that one can expect from the child of a hexenbiest.

On the other hand, Diana was surprisingly able to see the mysterious markings on the cloth that came with the stick. Those symbols were not visible to anybody else besides, Eve/Juliette who could only see three after the “death grip.” Temporarily setting aside the questions related to Diana’s power, fans can be thankful that she was able to draw those symbols on a piece of paper and that gives Rosalee something to work with so they can unravel the mystery of the stick and the cloth.

Now going back to little Diana, what else can she do? She keeps giving fans surprises. It is already obvious that she has superpowers that Nick and his team has never encountered before. She is far smarter and more powerful than the vile Bonaparte—thanks to little D he is dead.

In short, she is DANGEROUS. She can kill without having to be there, physically. She can astral project, move objects, and now she can see things not anybody else can easily see under normal circumstances...I believe she is capable o doing a lot more things.

With this, she is a potential threat to Nick…Given this, Diana will really need a lot of guidance from the right people—obviously, not her daddy Sean Renard who is, at the moment, hell bent on bringing nick down dead or alive.
Grimm Season 6 Episode 2 spilled another can of worms that viewers cannot wait to get explanations for.

I, myself, would love to know more on whether the stick or Diana is good or evil. What do you think? Feel free to share your thoughts below.

In the meantime, here is one of the highlights from last Friday’s episode of Grimm.

Fairy Tail Chapter 517 is upon us. The next chapter is coming out this Saturday, Jan. 14. Chapter 516 left us all in awe seeing how Irene managed to take Wendy’s body. Clearly, it was something that Erza did not expect to happen.

The great fight between Erza and Irene (now inside Wendy) will carry on to the next chapter. Plenty of work has been cut out for the dragon slayer. Killing Irene would be more difficult because she could never afford to hurt Wendy.

Is it still Wendy Belserion or is she gone for good?

In the next chapter, it has been theorized that one way or another Erza may have to strike at Wendy. Irene, on the other hand, will sense the hesitation and will use it to her advantage. She will walk up to Erza, but being in a new and smaller body she will feel a bit feeble. This will give Erza a window of opportunity to act fast—if she ever decides to strike at her friend’s body—but most likely, she won’t.

To cope in her new form, Irene will enchant Wendy’s body she could be comfortable. She will try to make Wendy’s body age a bit but not so close to her own age otherwise, she will risk using too much magic.

In the process, Erza will try to tell the real Wendy to fight Irene, hoping that Wendy is still inside her own body somehow. She will try to move closer but Irene will stop her with a seemingly fatal blast. Of, course, the Dragon Slayer will survive it.

Now the question remains whether or not there is still hope for Wendy. Will she be able to fight Irene who has completely taken control over or will she finally succumb to weakness? Hopefully, Fairy Tail Chapter 517 can answer that.

Natsu fears death: Can he stop the fusion?

Meanwhile, Igneel tells Natsu that it would have been possible to stop the fusion of the dragon seeds if he was at full strength. Unfortunately, he is weak so there is a likelihood that Natsu will die.

On the brighter side, Lucy might be the key to his survival. Seeing that Natsu is in a terrible condition, she could grab the chance to tell him how she feels. This in turn, can serve as a beacon of hope for Natsu and he might then tell Igneel he has to fight for survival as plenty of people await his return.

Natsu then feels the desire to live and Igneel asks him to follow him.
There is an ongoing theory that suggests Natsu’s fight for his life will extend Extent through Chapter 518.

Will Wendy remember?

There is a chance that she will try to fight from the inside as she remembers her friends. Fairy Tail Chapter 517 continues the battle between mother and daughter, Wendy is not entirely lost.

But while Irene has full control, Erza will try her hardest to just block Irene’s attach and not fight back for fear that she could also be hurting Wendy.

Wendy continues to remember some memories, bringing tears to her face. Irene feels Wendy’s emotions. Irene sees that Wendy remembers Grandeenay.

Again, until Fairy Tail Chapte 517 comes out to prove I am right or wrong these are simply speculations.

Yuri!!! on Ice Season 2

Season 1 Complete, Last Episode aired December 22, 2016

Is Yuri coming back for Yuri!!! on Ice Season 2?

Yuri on Ice, an anime about men’s figure skating sport was sensational despite the fact that it is not 2016’s Top 1 anime according to Crunchyroll.  Nevertheless, it seems to have overcome Sword Art Online in terms of popular.

Judging by the season 1 finale, Yuri!!! on Ice Season 2 is a very much likely to happen. A strong word of CAUTION nothing has been announced yet, so I would not put my hopes up high just yet. Still, it producers obviously want to come up with a sophomore season.

Hint #1

Episode 12 did not seem to have closed Yuri’s book entirely. There have been subtle hints. One example is, YOI writer Mitsurō Kubo’s reaction after he was questioned about his plans of attending any of this year’s figure skating events.

His response was:

“For the rest of this year I’ll be pouring all my energy into Yuri!!! on Ice, but I do plan on cheering for the matches on tv and online! I have a lot of plans in the works with the director for next year… including the wish to create a sequel. So I’m doing my best and working hard for that reason!”

I wonder, would you pour so much energy on something considered a done deal already?

Hint #2

Obviously, Victor and Yuri are the main characters but there are other characters who have potentially interesting storylinessomething that the second season can explore.

Yurio, Victor’s first protégé, is as equally interesting as Yuri. The writer Kubo regards Victor as a “living legend” and someone as honorable as Victor cannot just dismiss someone like Yurio for the rest of his life. Exploring Yurio’s story line can lead a dramatic conflict that the next season can show YOI fans.

Also, the fact the Yuri looks like an ordinary person, Yurio is one perfect contrast.

But what does Master Kubo have to say about his character Yuri? During a Japenese interview he said:

“…even though Yūri looks like someone who doesn’t have much self-belief, he actually does have, hidden within himself, that special strength athletes possess.”
With that, Yuri himself has still a lot to offer for the next season.

The bottom line is that season one obviously depicted that both Yuri and Yurio are contending for Victor as their coach. It would be interesting to see some unrestrained competition between Victor’s pupils but again a second season for Yuri!!! on Ice has yet to be announced officially. Stay tuned for more Yuri!!! on Ice updates.
